Still on Cloud 9

And I'm not coming down!!!!!!

Updated our homestudy yesterday (we're still acceptable I believe, ha ha!), baby proofed some stuff...have been working on the house-Eric has done so much and since he won't get on the site to brag, I guess I'll have to do it for him. Let's see...he has installed a garbage disposal, 3 ceiling fans, numerous light dimmer switches, digital thermostat, a utility sink (that one was fun) and shelves and all kinds of other heavy lifting. I'm sure he'll point out what I forgot. Hey, in my defense, I've been busy unpacking!

We have our travel meeting this Saturday. Yes, we are VERY much looking forward to travelling with no carry-ons and completely naked...unless we are allowed to wear clothes on the plane-maybe at security level orange we can! So, these new developments with the terrorists (those creeps) should make our 15 hour air travel a pleasant inconvenience. I don't care too much...most of the shampoo and stuff are replaceable, but we will have to figure out what to do without contact eye drops/saline! But, I just hope for the flight back with Julia we are allowed every thing we need-because I will not let her do without!

I guess that's it for now. I'll have to post her picture again so that it stays at the top. She is just the MOST beautiful baby EVER! Still HOPING for September to go get her!

Introducing......JULIA HELENA FENG UMBERHOCKER

It is absolutely beyond words and expression. We were in love with her before, now we are head over heels. She is PERFECT!!! As of April, she weighed nearly 14lbs and is about 2'. We have much to do, most of it involves staring at her photo! Please feel free to post your comments below (or send an email). We look forward to sharing more info as we get it.

We got the call yesterday around noon from our Lancaster office that we are IN FACT getting our referral today! Then we got a call from the Philly office (hmmmm) saying that Julia "Feng Yu Hua" (meaning Phoenix/rain, happy, jade, honor/flower) Umberhocker was born/found in Jiangxi province in China with a predicted birthdate of November 19, 2005.

TODAY we will see her picture. I thought waiting 546 days would be hard, try waiting 3-4 hours more!!!! Eric and I are both going crazy. We're still trying to get moved into the new house...trying to stay busy so we don't go insane, but just don't know what to do with ourselves. I fell asleep last night around 8pm and for the first time in months, actually slept. I actually slept. Okay, I woke up off and on praying for it to be time, but still, I slept pretty good in between.

Now, we can't leave the house-who knows what time the Fed Ex truck will arrive and we will NOT be missing it! So, we loaded up the cars (to move stuff) and we're back to waiting!

It is POSSIBLE that we will get to travel in late September/early October (keep your fingers crossed)...but we have to be careful since the trade show is in China at the end of October, so if we miss this window, we won't go until November-I WILL NOT MISS HER FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!

We will let you all know when that picture finally comes....okay, once we wipe the tears of joy out of our eyes! I just can't BELIEVE IT!!!!!!! I feel like I'm walking around in a dream.
