Day 460....almost 1 year and 100 days. Still cracks me up that we thought (and were told) about 9 months from paperwork to finish....that would have been 270 days...we are getting close to nearly double that.
Since my last post, the CCAA sent out referrals up to (not sure if including) June 6. Unfortunately, our friends Bridgett & Bruce are June 7 and missed this batch by a hair. We will be so excited for them this month when they should be getting their referral.
When we found out the cutoff date was 6/6 we figured previous rumors of June taking 3 months to get through would come true and we would be in July's referrals (of course, still hoping-no formula to figure it out). But, recent rumors indicate that we MAY be June. Which would be very close to our prediction of house and baby coming at the same time!!!! Nothing like creating more drama for ourselves-we just love it! Of course, we are so happy and excited that we don't care! Somehow, we'll make it work-we love a challenge!
But, at the same time, we are afraid to get excited too soon. Those of you who know me know that it's hard to tell me to slow down-I always put the cart before the horse. I am prepared for July, but the new rumor of June would be so great. And, I could possibly get the referral before my birthday-the only present I could ask for-a picture of my baby girl!!!
Until the end of this month, we continue to anxiously wait and monitor the rumors. The CCAA seems to be posting and sending referrals at the end of the month so in a few weeks, we should have some more answers. June will be a nail biter! Could be yes, could be no, but should most definitely be VERY, VERY close!!!
